Informativa sulla privacy

TaxiCorse · Ultimo aggiornamento 4 ottobre 2026

English version below

In breve

Aggiornamenti dell’app (Expo)

Base giuridica, conservazione e diritti

Privacy Policy

Versione italiana sopra

TaxiCorse (“the app”) is an app for taxi drivers to log rides, work shifts and earnings. This policy explains what data the app handles, where it goes and why.

In short

The app does not require an account and never sends us your name, email address or contacts. Your rides, shifts and settings stay on your device. The only things that leave your device are:

On-device storage

The rides you log (date and time, pickup and drop-off addresses, amount, payment type, notes), your work shifts and your settings are stored only in a local database on your device. They are not uploaded to any server of ours, because we don’t have one. If you export your rides to an Excel file, the file is created on your device and shared only with the app or person you choose. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Location

The app asks for location access only to suggest the address you are at while filling in a ride. Your location is read once, when you tap the locate button in an address field, and never in the background. The coordinates are sent to Mapbox to turn them into an address (see below) and are not stored by the app or by us. You can deny the permission: the app still works and you can type addresses by hand.

Address search (Mapbox)

To suggest addresses the app connects directly to the Mapbox search service. Mapbox receives the text you type into the address field, the coordinates of the taxi city chosen in the settings (to rank nearby results first), a random session identifier and, only when you tap the locate button, the device’s current location. Like any web service, Mapbox also sees the IP address of the request. Mapbox handles this data under its own privacy policy and may process it outside the European Union (United States).

Crash and error reporting (Sentry)

When the app crashes or hits an unexpected error, it sends a diagnostic report to Sentry so we can find and fix the problem. Reports contain technical information only, such as the error message, stack trace, device model, operating-system version and app version. They do not contain your name, email, the addresses, amounts or notes of your rides, or your location, and your IP address is not attached. Sentry processes this data on our behalf on servers in the European Union; see Sentry’s privacy policy.

Usage statistics (PostHog)

To understand which features are used, the app records a small set of anonymous events: for example that the app was opened, that a ride was added, edited or deleted, that a shift was started or stopped (with its length in minutes), that a chart was viewed or an export generated (with its row count). Events may include coarse details such as the payment type, plus technical information about the device, operating system and app version. One installation’s events are grouped by a random anonymous identifier.

Events do not contain your name, email, or the addresses, amounts or notes of your rides. The app does not record your screen and does not derive your location from your IP address (IP geolocation is turned off). This data is processed by PostHog on our behalf on servers in the European Union; see PostHog’s privacy policy.

You can turn usage statistics off at any time in Opzioni → Statistiche d’uso: from then on the app sends no events, and the choice sticks across launches. Crash reports stay on.

App updates (Expo)

On launch the app may check Expo’s servers for a small update and download it. The request carries technical information only, such as the platform and app version; see Expo’s privacy policy.

Third parties

The app shows no ads, uses no advertising or cross-app tracking services, and we never sell your data. The only third-party services it uses are the ones described above: Mapbox (address search), Sentry (errors), PostHog (usage statistics) and Expo (updates).

Legal basis, retention and your rights

We process crash reports and anonymous usage statistics on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and improving it; location is used only when you ask for it, under the permission you granted. Crash reports and events are kept at Sentry and PostHog only as long as needed for these purposes and then deleted under their retention rules. Because no account is linked to you, we normally cannot tie this data to you personally; you can still contact us to exercise your GDPR rights of access, erasure or objection, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

Children

The app is intended for adult taxi drivers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
